Kavita is playing the role of a mother in the television serial 'Karthik Poornima' and along with her in the recently released film 'Love Aaj kal 2’; she is seen as the mother of actor Karthik Aryan.

She said that, “I am very happy that I am playing the role of mother in two different places at the same time. The thing to note is that I am playing the character of Karthik's mother in two areas, Karthik Aryan's mother in the film 'Love Aaj Kal 2' and Harsh Nagar's mother in our new show 'Karthik Poornima'."
