After the announcement of Mr. India 2, a rift in the Kapoor family!
Ever since director Ali Abbas Zafar announced the making of a trilogy of the 1987 ‘Anil Kapoor-Sridevi-Amrish Puri’ starrer film 'Mr. India' on social media, there has been a rift between the people associated with this classic film.
While the director of 1987, ‘Mr. India’, Shekhar Kapoor has expressed his anger, the writer of the original film Javed Akhtar has accused him for not being honest with the script. Shekhar Kapoor, angry over not being given the creative rights by Mr. India, has now hinted at taking legal action as well.
Now, a media report quoting sources said that, Boney Kapoor approved the project without taking the lead actor of the original film and his brother Anil Kapoor in confidence, so Anil Kapoor is upset.
The source said that, Boney is technically correct. He is the producer of ‘Mr. India’. They do not need to consult anyone before giving their approval. Boney has a close relationship with Zee Studio. Therefore, he approved to remake of ‘Mr. India’. But, Anil is not happy with the announcement of this project. And he is also right because, he is not only the lead actor of ‘Mr. India’ but, also the brother of producer.
